End of the RopeThe end of the rope. I never thought it would get to this. Not literally, of course. I knew I wouldn’t have the strength to pull myself up after that fight. But it wasn’t supposed to end like this. Being a hero was everything I ever dreamed of. It was what I trained relentlessly for. To fight against the oppressiveness of evil. To fight for glory and honor. To win the love of a fair lady and live happily. None of these have come to pass. I failed my family. I failed my one love. I failed my friends. But the rope tightens.
